My second promotional tour started today. We first went to Naija Rave. A popular TV program where I was the special guest of the day. I had my own make up lady, that was interesting. She put me mascara and lipstick gloss, which I was not very happy with. But this was necessary she told me. The show went smoothly and was very nice to do. The director liked the way I spoke and acted.

Today was another day of relaxation. Idi was still in Benin City, so Nane and I were moving around alone. This day I wanted to exchange some money so we called up our security guy Ido to come and escort us. Within 15 minutes he was at our hotel, very fast indeed. We went to Oceanic Bank to cash out money my brother Charles sent to I. It took us one hour to exchange money. But we made it and left the bank safely.

We then went to the tailor to measure my mom. She wanted the tailor to make her a fine dress she could wear going to church. She explained everything and within a few days the tailor would finish everything.

Idi came back from Benin City in the evening. He was very happy cause he had seen his wife and just born boy Theophilus. They both were doing fine and were healthy thanks to God. We sat down and drank and made a toast on this wonderful news.

In Nigeria Sunday is the special day reserved for the Lord. Almost al stores, bars, restaurants etc are closed. Idi took the opportunity today to go to his wife in Benin. He got the day free of I activities, so he could visit his wife whom just born a healthy baby boy. He’s named after I like I already reported, Theophilus James.

My mom and I took this day to relax and catch up some sleep. The past week we’ve been running around for my music bizz. So a day off was very welcome. I woke up automatically at 7.00. But when Idi left at 8.30 I went to sleep again and woke up at 12.00. After bathing Nane and I went to eat something at the hotel’s restaurant. Like I already said Sunday is the day for the Lord. After eating my mom went to lay down and sleep. I took this opportunity to write for ya’ll in my journal and relax myself. Tonight I was going to meet Jude (manager) to set out a new plan for this coming week. We were going to evaluate the past week and see what we’ve accomplished and what still needs to be done. I still want to shoot a video of one of the tracks we’ve recorded. Jude even said yesterday that he’d arrange for I to meet empress Nnenka. Hope this will all work out this week! To be continued….

Today we went for the second day of recording new Naija hits @ Maverick studios. When we arrived at Ikeja, Lagos, the music gang of the last studio session were there. I thought that Shuga Boi was the one producing the second track, but Pitch was the one doing his magic today as he did Thursday. And Shuga Boi assisted him.

When I stepped into the studio Shuga Boi already worked ahead together with Pitch. They already created a loop and wrote the chorus on it. I felt the vibes immediately when Shuga Boi sang the chorus on the beat. I turned my laptop on and started writing the verses. Within one hour I finished my part of the track ‘’Sexy Nigerian Girls’’. A lovely song for the African ladies. Short after this Shuga Boi added his raps and a new hit potential track was born. We waited for Pitch to finalize the beat and started to record immediately. A few hours later we were ready with the track. We looked at the clock and it took us 5 hours to create a track from beginning till end. That’s how we be doing it in Naija. Feeling each others vibes. Anticipating and creating good and strong vibes for one and other. Working fast with out strings or delay. Love this way of working. Music is no work over here. It’s a life style, a way of living, a way of expressing. A way of being I Geoffy in my mother land. Loving this!

My first TV debute in Nigeria. Galaxy TV Lagos is the first TV station I appeared on for my promotional tour. Morning Delight is the show where I was interviewed. Yes I! My first interview and TV appearance on Naija television is a fact. Galaxy TV is the name baby. Lagos, Abuja and Port Harcourt could see me live today around 11.00 AM @ Galaxy TV headquarters Lagos, Ikeja. People loved I appearance and special guest Nane (my lovely mom) was welcomed well well by our mother land! She even stole the show and took it to a spiritual level, thanx mommy! Woke up early today @ 7.30 AM. I went to bed in time yesterday so I could wake up early, cause this is the big recording day. Today I’m going to work with Pitch.
