Today was the Big Day. We’re going to shoot the video of Nigerian Girls (Omalicha Baby). I woke up around 6.00, cause I was so excited. I couldn’t sleep longer.

Around 9.00 AM we were at our rendezvous point. There we were waiting for Jude, the models, Peach and Shuga Boi. Shuga Boi was one of the first persons to arrive. 2 models where already there, but I didn’t knew this, cause I had never met them before. After Shuga Boi, Jude came in with Chigozie (cameraman). We where now waiting for Peach, who was delayed because of Nigeria’s traffic go slow. After some delay everybody was there so we could leave to the set.

Jude had arranged a bus for the whole crew. We had up to 10 people or even more coming along. Everybody could fit in the bus and off we went! We had to go to the sea side, cause we were crossing the sea by boot. All of us were afraid of doing this, but we kept quite. Arriving by the boat I could feel the tension rising. The models were praying to God and I was feeling kinda nervous as well. I’m not that fond of crossing water by a speed boat like these. But what needs to be done, needs to be done. Business is business.

The trip by boat wasn’t that bad as I thought it would be. I actually enjoyed myself. I was snapping pictures and even filming and laughing. Pamela, one of the models, really made me laugh. She was scared at the beginning and held my hands tight. But later on she could relax as well. After 25 minutes spending on the boat, we arrived at our own eiland, the set for Nigerian Girls (Omalicha Baby).

The eiland looked like paradise. Nobody was there except us and I really felt like a king coming back to his residence. We had like 20 minutes to get ourselves together, put on some make up, get our mind straight. We shot the video in like 6 hours. It was hard working, but we did it!

My first experience in making a video in Nigeria. It was wonderful. Looking forward to the end result. Gonna be something else. Yes o!
