Lagos, Friday 26 March

July 1st, 2010 | By

Today was my first Radio interview in Lagos since I was in Naija. We did major TV interviews, now it was time to rock the Radio. Radio Star 101.5 FM is where my interview took place. Terry is the name of the host. The show took place around 14.00, news hour. This was a strategic hour, cause many listeners would tune in.

Terry introduced me to his show and really caught me of guard. He asked me to do some a capella singing for him and the listeners. I wasn’t used to this, but gave him a little reggae sweetness. That was a good start of the show. People already where feeling my reggae vibes. After singing I did a little rap and introduced myself proper as an Igbo man from Abia State. It was an amazing show with good response from Terry and his listeners. When he played my track No Gain people went crazy. But when my tune Nigerian Girls (Omalicha Baby) went on air. Everybody went mad. Even Terry couldn’t resist jumping and dancing around. Very nice to see people enjoying my tunes like this. Geoffy took over the show! Yes I!

After the interview at Radio Star 101.5 FM we had to meet with Steve, Jude, Udoka and I for an important meeting. Today we had to come to an agreement bout releasing my album Maintain Yourself in Naija. We had to agree to an acceptable marketing contract for both Udoka and I. Since we where already working together and my product was accepted very well. I wasn’t seeing any obstacles. It took us about 2 hours to come to a good agreement for both parties. Udoka was happy, I was happy, my mom, Idi and Jude. We now had to arrange that a lawyer would document everything we agreed on. This was put for tomorrow, cause I was exhausted from all activities today.
